My name is Scott Boa. I first started collecting law enforcement shoulder patches in 1994.

I joined the Canadian Police Insignia Collectors Association in 1998, and have been a member in good standing ever since.

I specialize in collecting new, unused shoulder patches from:

Law Enforcement Tactical (SWAT, ERT, SRT, etc.)

Prison Tactical (CERT, SORT, etc.)

Customs Officers, Special Constables

Peace Officers, Provincial Offences Officers

"High-Profile" Security (Embassy Security, Nuclear Security, etc.)

I call them "law enforcement" as police are only one aspect of law enforcement. My personal favorites are the "Airport Security" at Canadian Airports.

According to Section 4 of the "Airport Traffic Regulations" which are enabled by both the "Government Property Traffic Act" and the "Department of Transport Act",

these security officers are appointed as a "Constable" to enforce the ATR's. As a constable, they are a "Peace Officer" under the Criminal Code of Canada.

The ATR's apply to all Airports in Canada, which are either owned or leased by Transport Canada. Schedules 1 and 2 of the ATR's even mention which airports,

in which the ATR's apply. There are currently 37 airports across Canada, in which the ATR's apply.

Finally, I would like to publicly thank all of the law enforcement & security personnel, who helped my collection grow. I greatly appreciate their help.
